Disclaimer and sources
Tests Canada is an unofficial practice site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Ontario, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO), DriveTest, ServiceOntario, the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), the Government of Quebec, or any other government body.
The citizenship practice tests are unofficial and are not the official citizenship test. The SAAQ practice test is unofficial and is not the official SAAQ theory test. The French citizenship practice is a translation/adaptation of the English citizenship bank, with the same chapters and question counts, and it must be proofread before publication.
Practice tests on this site are not the official exam. Passing a practice test does not guarantee passing an official test. Questions are original practice questions written for study; they are not official exam questions.
Official sources used as topic references

- Official MTO Driver's Handbook — Driving along (including Maintaining space / two-second rule)
- Ontario Highway Traffic Act, section 128, for default speed limits (50 km/h in a built-up area, 80 km/h outside, unless otherwise posted) — as cited in municipal and provincial guidance consulted during research.
- Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship (IRCC / Government of Canada, canada.ca) — topic reference for the citizenship banks, in English and in the French guide Découvrir le Canada. Note: chapter counts here use the 10-chapter structure (Rights and Responsibilities; Who We Are; Canada's History; Modern Canada; How Canadians Govern Themselves; Federal Elections; The Justice System; Canadian Symbols; Canada's Economy; Canada's Regions); some third-party summaries list additional chapter groupings.
- SAAQ official documents and the Quebec Highway Safety Code (Code de la sécurité routière), via saaq.gouv.qc.ca — theme-level topic reference for the SAAQ bank. Exact SAAQ guide section numbers must be pinned before publication, and the official SAAQ theory-test format (sections and question counts) must be confirmed on saaq.gouv.qc.ca, as third-party sources disagree on the counts.
The handbook itself states that it is only a guide. For official purposes, refer to the Highway Traffic Act and its regulations.
